Salman Khan Eid Releases
Salman Khan & Eid: Two Sides Of The Same Coin!

Starting from Salman’s film Wanted, it had hit the theatres on September 18, 2009 and enjoyed the festive time of Eid. This was like a comeback film for Salman since his last  few films were duds at the box office. The film is directed by Prabhu Dheva and it is an official remake of a Telugu film Pokiri. The film not only was appreciated by the fans but also did wonders at the box office too. The film had collected in a range of 60 crores which is not bad at all!

Then came the Chulbul Pandey urf Salman Khan in Dabangg which literally won the hearts of many by its super entertaining factor. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap, Dabangg went on to become popular because of Salman’s daredevil attitude as a policeman, his one liners and hilarious yet easy dance steps. His Dabangg hook step where he holds the belt and dances like a boss went so viral amongst all the age groups. The film had collected a whopping amount of 138.88 crore at the box office.

The year 2012 was a bang-on year for Salman Khan as his film Ek Tha Tiger had released at that time. We saw Katrina Kaif opposite Salman in the film and it went on to break all the previous records of his films. Their chemistry was quite appreciated by the audiences and it did work in the team’s favour for sure. The film went on to collect 198.00 crores at the box office. After a hit film, Ek Tha Tiger also got a sequel titled Tiger Zinda Hai in the year 2017 which again was a smashing hit at the box office!

It was no stopping for Salman Khan since then! The year 2014 saw the release of Kick which featured Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. The film’s action, Salman and Jacqueline’s hot chemistry, lovely songs, Salman’s swag stole the show! The film had all the ingredients that a successful story needs. Kick went on to earn big and collected 233.00 crores at the box office.

After successfully entering the 200 crore club with Kick, Salman Khan entered the 300 crore club like a boss with Bajrangi Bhaijaan. With this film, Salman Khan’s action boy image was completely changed as it showed the softer side of him in the film. We saw Salman and the child artist Harshali Malhotra and their camaraderie were loved by many. The emotional side of Salman, Harshali’s cuteness and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s funny role enlightened the film. The film collected an enormous amount of 320.34 crores at the box office. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film was released on July 17, 2015.

Again with Sultan, Salman Khan surprised us with his all new avatar. He was seen essaying the role of a wrestler and his hard work was quite visible in the film. Also, fans got to see him not only shirtless but also pant-less. This was like Sone Pe Suhaga for all the Salman fans! Though the film didn’t cross the lifetime collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan but it did earn well at the box office. Released on July 6, 2016, Sultan collected a total amount of 300.45 crore at the box office.

Last but not the least came Salman Khan’s Tubelight! Again, we saw the emotional side of Salman and his bond with the child artist Matin Rey Tangu which was loved by the fans. But the film didn’t work in his favour. Even after promoting it so much, the film tanked at the box office. This was for the first time in last few years that a Salman Khan film didn’t work at the box office. Released on June 23, 2017, Tubelight managed to collect 121.25 crore at the box office which is his lowest of all time.

But nevertheless, Salman Khan is all set to bounce back with Race 3 this Eid and we are sure that this time the tables will be turned surely!
