Irrfan Khan’s Madaari enjoyed a solo release today, but it opened below average at the box office. The film witnessed the morning occupancy of around 7-8% at the box office.
On the other hand, the Hindi dubbed version of Rajinikanth starrer Kabali has managed to open better with approx 20%.
Nevertheless, the opening of Kabali is phenomenal in south. Even in the markets of Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, the Tamil version of Kabali was Housefull in the morning shows.
Both the films should gain footfalls over the weekend, based on the positive word of mouth, especially Madaari.
Salman Khan starrer Sultan will remain steady at the box office, as there will be no big competition for it in the market.
