Box Office: Parmanu- The Story Of Pokhran is turning out to be yet another success story in 2018. As has been the trend right through the year so far, deserving films are finding some good momentum going for them on Saturdays and then stabilize well on Sunday. The exact story is repeating for the John Abraham starrer as well which brought in 7.64 crores on Saturday after fetching 4.82 crores on Friday. This is a very good jump as it has brought the film’s total so far to 12.46 crores.
The signs were always there for this kind of jump since the film has already caught on well by the time evening and night shows had commenced on Friday. While critical acclaim was also there, audience word of mouth helped as well to ensure that the Abhishek Sharma directed film found itself on a good standing.
As a matter of fact it is rare to see a commercial hero getting this kind of packaged response where critics as well as audiences hail the effort. However this has happened now for John Abraham and he must indeed be ecstatic since he is finding himself in this position after being in the industry for 15 years now.
All eyes are now on how do collections turn out today. It could well have been a really big day with possibility of even 10 crore been hit. However, evening and night shows would be impacted due to IPL finale that would result in a loss of a couple of crore at least. Still, a good film is destined to work and one can well expect the weekdays to stabilize again that would help the film in the long run.
Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
